I remember photographing them DAILY, trying not to miss a moment. Then they started growing up (way too fast) and life became busier than I could ever anticipate. I realized that there were long breaks where I did not photograph them at all. So in 2011 I created a goal to do one shoot a month with my own sons - even if it was just a quick one. I think I covered most months. What I didn't capture with my camera, I made up for with my iPhone. Most importantly, I PRINT the majority of what I capture. Digital is great, but there's nothing lovelier than an actual tangible print (in my opinion)! I'm very much excited to print the images shared in this post. Although my sons are a lot of fun and enjoy being silly, these images show a more quiet, thoughtful side of them (except one, who couldn't hold it back).

I had a wonderful time hanging out with the gorgeous Hyson family while they were in Charlotte. They are a dream in front of the camera and I have several favorite images from their shoot. I could photograph fun and loving families like theirs daily!

Meet Frederika, also known as "Freddi". She runs Next Level Vision and knows her stuff when it comes to giving businesses the branding and social media boost that they need.

Tell us about yourself

I am one of the few native Charlotteans. Although I was born and raised here, I moved away for college and my first job. My husband and I moved back to Charlotte to raise our family close to our parents and siblings. We have four children (three boys: 11, 8, 6 and one girl: 1.5 going on 21). I enjoy being a social director and planning parties, events and travel for our family and spending time laughing with friends. I'm very active in our Church ministry, managing projects and serving, in addition to running the business. In my downtime you can usually find me reading, singing, or telling jokes! My motto is Work Hard, Play Hard, and Laugh Harder!

How did Next Level Vision start?

I started the business when I was pregnant with our youngest child in August 2010 with the purpose of developing leaders and equipping businesses for next level marketplace success. I had become frustrated with seeing my peers, clients and other business owners feeling as if they didn't have the right tools, knowledge or ability to compete with larger marketing budgets AND be profitable in the marketplace. Developing strategy and coaching leaders comes naturally to me as I love to see people take a step-by-step plan and have extraordinary success. From my love of business and people, the company was birthed just months before we welcomed our daughter into the world.

Our management firm provides a systematic approach for creating, executing and managing brand campaigns. We are the #1 trusted source for profitable, strategic branding, digital marketing and social media management. We partner with corporations, small businesses, non-profit organizations and personal brands to help them be found, be heard and be profitable.

What are some things you enjoy in your down time?

My sons are incredible athletes, a talent they did not get from me! The majority of our weekends involve attending their many football and basketball games, which I absolutely love. When they aren't involved in some sort of competition, a quality they did get from me, you can find us at home enjoying meals prepared from my grill-master husband, or watching movies. I also enjoy dining at great restaurants, comedy shows, traveling, and long naps!

Do you have any hidden talents?

I am piano player and singer, although I haven't done either in years.

Morning person or night person?

Both! I am more productive in the morning and can accomplish many things quickly. However, I am more creative at night. That's when I get my best strategies!

Freddi's words of encouragement:

You can have an impact on the world. Yes, even you! Sometimes we can allow job titles, bank accounts and material items (or the lack thereof) to define our worth and our ability to be relevant in our communities. I'm here to tell you that the only limits you have on the influence you have in another person's life and the world are the ones you place on yourself. Be bold and step up and start being the change the world needs to see. All it takes is one person, one visionary, to go beyond the norm to the next level. Your life, your purpose and your legacy are dependent on you, not just seeing where change needs to happen but to also be a catalyst for that change. I believe in your gifts and ability to be greater than anyone ever imagined!

If I can support you in anyway, you can find me on Facebook and Twitter. I'd love to hear from you!
